Dr D S Kalsi is a
Professor of periodontology and Heads the
Department of Periodontology at the LB Dental College Patiala, India. He
also maintains a state-of-the-art practice at 30 D Sarabha Nagar
Ludhiana, Punjab India. He is member of the Pierre Fauchard academy USA
and the Indian Dental Association.
Dr DS
Kalsi did his graduation [BDS] from Punjab Government Dental College and
Hospital Amritsar, Punjab India, in 1987. He was then selected to do
house-job in the dental departments at Dayanand Medical College and
Hospital Ludhiana, and subsequently at Punjab Government Dental College and Hospital Amritsar. After this he took up studies for
Masters [MDS] degree in the field
of periodontology [gum specialty] at Punjab Government Dental
College and Hospital Amritsar. He
completed post graduation [MDS] in 1992. During this he presented a
desertion [thesis] on management of dentinal hypersensitivity by Iontophoresis.
His research won him wide acclaim and he won $200
cash travel award for this research at the ‘International Symposium on
Hypersensitive Dentin’ held at Callaway gardens, Georgia, Atlanta, USA.

Thereafter he has presented numerous scientific presentations on
Iontophoretic drug delivery of drugs for Hypersentivity of teeth and in
the treatment oral Lichen Planus.
While on this he has closely been associated with Dr L P Gangarosa,
Professor Emeritus at the Department of Oral Biology, at the Medical
College of Georgia, Atlanta, USA.
Dr DS Kalsi has conducted numerous continuing dental education
courses and has presented numerous scientific presentations at national
and international conferences.
Apart from this he routinely attends continuing dental education courses
to upgrade his skills and knowledge.
Dr Parul Kalsi worked as a
lecturer in dentistry before starting full time practice at Dencare
Dental Clinics 30 D Sarabha Nagar Ludhiana.
She did her graduation [BDS] from DAV [C} Dental College Yamunanagar, in
1996.
She has keen interest in Family dentistry and prides in the fact that
she can usually deal with very difficult child patients with
considerable ease. After graduation she has under taken numerous
continuing dental education courses and has greatly contributed to the
scientific presentations presented both by her and Dr DS Kalsi.
